Spend the day in the only fully Heritage listed town in NSW. Experience the history, heritage and charm of Braidwood. The Braidwood Musuem (02 4842 2310) offers an insight into the people of the district from the traditional land owners, the Walbunja people, to the early settlers, Dr Braidwood Wilson, the heady gold rush days and the Chinese community, Quong Tart, and the local bushrangers, Ben Hall and the Clarke Brothers. There are quaint little pubs in the surrounding villages Araluen, Majors Creek and Nerriga for visitors to enjoy some fine country hospitality and history.
