Old Government House was built by 1816 and is the oldest surviving public building in Australia, set within Parramatta Park with sweeping views of Parramatta River. The beautiful Georgian stately home is not only considered an Australian treasure but is now also on the World Heritage List. Old Government House was the home to the first 10 colonial governors and now holds one of the Nations most outstanding collections of Australian colonial furniture.
